I keep being asked what is needed for it to get through MOT. When I got the car it had MOT & Tax but as stated below when it ran out I took off road to strip down to see what the floors were like. They needed repairing one side has been done other side needs doing. I don't know what else it may fail if anything at all as I haven't put it in for one, I took it off road. I was going to do welding and change interior then go from there. The car drives stops as it should. My number is 1 Hi welcome to my advert for my Mk4 Escort. I have had this for a couple of years. When I got it was on the road but when the tax & MOT ran out I took it off the road to restore it. I wanted to weld the floors and replace the interior as I wanted to put recaro interior in. I got this fella to do the work required but after 8 months in his hands only the passenger floor had been done and he had took the front & back bumpers off and put a dent in the front of the bonnet, which he claimed a customer did it and drove off. So I took it back off him and have put it in Storage were its safe until I decide what I want to do with it. I haven't got time to complete the project at the moment and the place its stored is costing me £25 per month so at the moment it doesn't look like the pics. I do have the floor pan for the drivers side I brought a pair for £70 Even though its registered as a 1.3 it has a 1.6 xr3i engine in which the previous owner did, he also told me it has everything Rs running gear etc apart from the engine. I have a lot of receipts were it has had a lot of money spent on it. I believe it will only need the welding finished to get it through the MOT and new interior as most parts went missing when I got the car back. I have some of the interior but its not in the best condition, I even had to get a brand new battery as the bloke who was suppose to have completed works claimed it was stolen. It will be cheap tax & insurance as its registered a 1.3 even if you put a bigger engine in i.e a turbo etc which would save you loads on insurance & tax It also comes with a Cosworth Steering wheel that makes its look good also has an alarm that controls central locking and it has immobiliser and electric windows. Its comes with extras that I brought Morrette Style headlights (will need respraying & Fitting) Better condition door cards 88spec Rs Turbo Manifold Crossover pipe Red Calipers Haynes Manual New Battery Spot lights without brackets White Dials (will need Fitting) A new Front Bumper as old one has some damage but is fixable It still starts first time and sounds great and goes, as I go upto the storage unit every Saturday to turn it over. The parcel shelf came with some speakers in so I was going to replace this aswel as I didn't fancy having speakers in the shelf. The car has been lowered don't know what springs are on it Alloys and Tyres are in good condition Some of the paint near the sun roof is flaking off were someone has tried spraying it but not done a good job. Drivers side rear arch is showing signs of bubbles but looks ok.
